Capac students celebrate return to school
CAPAC — Capac Community Schools hosted its third annual Open House and Back-to-School Carnival for students and families on Aug. 19.
Over 560 students and family members attended this year’s event.
Attractions included bounce houses, glitter face painting, balloon creations, fire trucks, a Kona Ice truck and more.
Families who attended the open house were admitted for fun and free activities.
Attendees were entered into drawings for gift cards from Fronney’s Supermarket in Capac.
Students and their families enjoyed a tour of the buildings, meetings with their teachers, and an orientation to their school program.
“Back to school is an exciting time for the students, staff, and community of Capac. For the last three years we’ve tried to harness that excitement by hosting a Back-to-School Carnival,” said Superintendent Amy Nelson.
“Each year we try to make the carnival bigger and more exciting than the year before. This year, more than 560 members of our school community joined us to celebrate the start of the school year by attending the carnival.”
