Amado Medrano, 65

Amado Medrano, 65, of Capac, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025.

He was born December 18, 1959, in Lapeer, the son of the late Faustino and Mary Lou (Olivarez) Medrano.

His marriage to Mary Ann Castle was October 5, 1996, in Allenton. They spent 28 loving years together before her passing on June 30, 2024.

Amado served his country in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984 as an overseas sharpshooter.

Amado worked for the Capac Department of Public Works (DPW) for many years as well as for Kimball Township DPW. for 20 years. He enjoyed working in his garage on cars and hosting family and friends for BBQ’s. Amado liked watching baseball and football and loved attending concerts and listening to music.

He is survived by three daughters, Kristy (Michael) Bristol, Tiffeny Medrano, and Courtney (Salvadore) Briguglio; two sons, Anthony Jackson and Nathan (Sayge) Jackson; seven grandchildren; his sister, Rose Medrano, and two brothers, Robert and Tino Medrano.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou and a brother, Rosendo.

The family honored the memory of Amado on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Rev. Lisa Clark, pastor of Capac Methodist Church, officiated.
