Marjorie Sorbie, 79

Marjorie Sorbie, age 79, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away October, 2024 in Florida. Marjorie Frances Johnson was born in Detroit, MI. She is the daughter of the late Forrest and Doris Johnson. Marjorie grew up in Royal Oak, MI. She attended Dondero High School in Royal Oak. Marjorie married Charles Sorbie July 18, 1964.

She was a home maker, raising her family. Marjorie enjoyed her family and friends. She liked to play cards with her girl friends, play Bingo and gambling at the casinos. Marjorie was a fabulous cook. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Marjorie is survived by: her daughter, Sheri Sorbie of Imlay City, MI; grandchildren, Ben, Zach, Daniel, Leathan, Josie and Cora; and her great-grandchild, Franki.

Marjorie’s husband, Charles, passed away just months after her. She was preceded in death by: her sons, Charles A. Sorbie, Jr. and Daniel Forrest Sorbie; and her brother, Lester Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.

The family will be available for visitation 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, August 20th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
