Maria Boyne, 70

Maria Boyne, age 70, of Imlay City, Michigan died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Corewell Health/Wm. Beaumont Hospital – Troy Campus of Troy, MI. Maria Estela Palacios was born October 25, 1954 in McAllen, TX. She is the daughter of the late Jose Angel and the late Felicitas (Rodriguez) Palacios. They moved to the Imlay City area in 1972. They would split their time between Texas and Michigan. She married Warren Leone Boyne, Jr. on August 16, 1980 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City, MI.

She was employed as a Hi-Low Driver at Hammill Seatbelt Manufacturing in Imlay City. Maria was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Imlay City and Curves. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her Dachshund and Corgi dogs; making and serving Tamales and Salsa (she would never give out her recipes); going shopping; gardening with her father; and catching tarantulas as a child.

Maria is survived by: her husband, Warren Boyne, Jr., daughter, Tiffany Boyne of Imlay City, MI: her son, Warren (Deanna) Boyne, III of Ortonville, MI; sister, Angelita (aka Nena) (Ken) Parrish of Imlay City, MI; her grandchildren, Warren Boyne IV and Keegan Ballanger; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jose and Felicitas Palacios; brothers, John Palacios and Bernardino Palacios; her sisters, Paula Almendarez and Enriqueta Villanueva; and her dogs Patrick and Lola.

The funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan. A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. February 14, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI.

The family will be available for visitation 12 Noon-5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
