Glenn Clemence, age 83

Glenn Clemence, age 83, of Imlay City, Michigan, died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Glenn Merton Clemence was born April 12, 1941 in East Grand Rapids, MI. He is the son of the late Merton and the late Gloria (Phelps) Clemence. Glenn grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. He is a graduate of South High School in Grand Rapids. Glenn continued his education at Akron University. He married Glo-Ann Cameron in 1993 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Glenn lived in Waterford and Lapeer before moving to Imlay City 15 years ago.

He was employed as a Tool Crib Manager by General Motors – Truck & Bus in Pontiac, MI for 40 years before retiring. Glenn was a member of the Imlay City First Congregation United Church of Christ and Imlay City Lamb-Steele Council on Aging. He was also a Chaplin for the Imlay City Eagles.

He is survived by: his wife, Glo-Ann Clemence; daughters, Tami (Ken) Stefan and Kris (Joel) Lucas; his sons, Jeffrey (Melissa) Clemence of Shelby, MI, Thomas (Jennifer) Cameron of Waterford, MI and Callie (Sarah) Cameron of Wayne, MI; and sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Carlson, Sharon (Lonie) Thomas and Gail Clemence. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katie, Jessica, Ricky, TJ, Luke and Ivy.

Glenn was preceded in death by: his parents, Merton and Gloria Clemence; and his brother, David Clemence.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date at Imlay City First Congregational United Church of Christ.
