Kathleen Patricia Morang, 71

Kathleen Patricia Morang, 71, of Attica formerly of the Downriver area, died Friday September 13, 2024. She was born March 17, 1953, in Highland Park to mom Patricia A. Schultz and grew up in Southgate.

Kathie was a hard worker; she owned and operated The Doggy Barber, in both Port Huron and Lexington. She also bred show dogs and loved gardening her roses. Crafting and craft shows were a huge passion as well; going to classes with friends, sewing and embroidery. Always up for a ride, just to enjoy old Victorian style houses or stop into a dollar store. Her daughter mentioned there were many funny memories surrounding Debbie’s Dollar store. Around home, Kathie enjoyed pontoon rides or to buckle down into her favorite Chef Gordon Ramsey cooking show, Americas Got Talent or The Voice. Her deepest love was being a wonderful mother, grandmother, a sister and caring companion to Cliff.

Kathie is survived by her husband, Cliff Adamaszek; children, Carrie (fiancé, Jospeh Rinke) Fraser, Jimmy (Allison) Newman; granddaughters, Tonya and Desiree; great-granddaughters, Isabella and Genevieve; sisters, Gale Reed and Kimberly Read.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Schultz; her aforementioned mother and step-father, Jim Schultz.

Kathie’s cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer.

A memorial celebration will be this Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at 196 Elk Lake Road, Attica.
