Roger Glen Bowerson, 89

Roger Glen Bowerson, 89, of Berlin Township, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026.

He was born October 21, 1936, in Hazel Park, MI, the son of the late Roland and Alice (Blackmore) Bowerson.

His marriage to Vernita Dowling was December 20, 1958, in Capac. They spent 58 loving years together before Vernita’s passing on October 3, 2016.

Roger was a 1954 graduate of Capac High School. He then served his country in the United States Army as a medic from 1955 to 1958. Roger worked for A.C. Delco, Burton, for 32 years before his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Shriners International and a fellow Mason. Roger enjoyed deer hunting, golfing and bowling.

Surviving are five children, Cindy (Richard) Rowe of Lewiston, Candy (Rick) Giroux of Capac, Rodger and Marcia of LaPorte, IN, Carl and Carol of Dryden and Rodney and Mary of Attica; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild, a brother, Dennis (Judith) Bowerson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.

At this time there are no services scheduled for Roger. The family has entrusted cremation arrangements to Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac.
