Dorothy Sisson, 71

Dorothy Sisson, age 71, of Montrose, Michigan died Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Dorothy Ella Dotson was born August 23, 1954 in Almont, MI. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Dotson. Dorothy grew up in the Imlay City area. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1973.

She enjoyed playing the flute and piccolo in high school and community bands.

Dorothy is survived by: her sons, David (Jennifer) Penzien of Novi, MI, James Penzien of Highland, MI, Charles (Rene) Penzien of Dayton , OH and Steven Sisson of Flint, MI; sisters, Julie (Craig) Kuttkuhn of Waterford, MI and Charlene (Dennis) Castle of Capac, MI; and her brothers, Tim Robinson of Howell, MI, Mark (Lisa) Robinson of Vienna, VA and Jim Dotson of Washington. She is also survived by: 9 grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by: her father, Joseph Dotson; and sister, Judy Hillman.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI 48444.
