Dison Richie, 80

Dison Richie, age 80, of Attica, Michigan died Friday, December 19, 2025 at his home. Dison Charles Richie was born January 5, 1945 in Attica, MI. He is the son of the late Irvin and the late Ann (Geiger) Richie. Dison attended Buckingham Country School in Attica. He lived all of his life in the Attica area.

He was a dairy and cattle farmer. Dison was a member of the Michigan Coon Hunters Association. He guided hunts for the Huntsman’s and Hunters Creek Clubs. Dison would run his dogs to coon and bear hunt. He raised grand champion dogs. Dison would travel to Mississippi and Arkansas to hunt and trap. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play ball.

Dison is survived by: his daughters, Dessallia (Todd) Coulter and Tracy (Wade) Richie; sons, Daniel (Cassandra) Irvin Richie and Derek Smith; his siblings, Judy Heath, Gordon (Delberta) Richie, Evon (Gary) Bocksch, Richard (Kathy) Richie, and Donna Woods. He is also survived by: his grandchildren, Collin, Morgan, Jasmine, Zachary, Patrick, Austin, Alyssa, Kaitlin, Jacob, Trenton, Brendon, D.J., Elliana, Alyvia, and Abigail; and one great-grandchild, Vienna.

Dison was preceded in death by: his parents, Irvin and Ann Richie; son, Mark Richie; siblings, George Richie, Ruth Anne Ward, and Timothy (Medrina) Richie.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI 48444.
