John Clark White, 79

John Clark White, age 79 of Saint Clair Shores and formerly of Almont passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 surrounded by his family in Detroit. He was born December 4, 1945 the son of Peter and Hannah (Crawley) White in Detroit. After graduating from Denby High School, John worked at Ford Motor Company for many years. He married his wife Claudia (Raveau) on July 20, 2020 in Frankenmuth.

For many years, John was a dedicated and active volunteer firefighter with the Almont Fire Department. He was a proud member of the Michigan State Firemen’s Association and was deeply involved with the Michigan Firemen’s Memorial in Roscommon. John also took great pride in serving with the Local Assistance State Team (LAST), a national program that supports Michigan fire departments and their families after a line-of-duty death.

John loved the great outdoors, whether he was out fishing, golfing, or simply enjoying nature. He enjoyed traveling to warm destinations, with some of his favorite places including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and the Bahamas. More than anything, John cherished the time he spent with his family -especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

John is survived by his loving wife Claudia White of Saint Clair Shores, his daughter Dawn White of Saint Clair Shores, his grandson Aiden of Saint Clair Shores and granddaughters Hanna and Trinity of Capac and his daughter-in-law Denise White of Capac.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Bob White 2020, his first wife Bernie White in 2009 and his brother Tom White.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Banquet held at 1:00 p.m., all at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444.
