Betty Teal, 81

Betty Teal, age 81, of Marlette, Michigan died Monday, November 10, 2025 at Covenant Health Care-Cooper of Saginaw, MI. Betty Pearl Peña was born October 17, 1944 in Almont, MI. She is the daughter of the late Jose and the late Julia (Flores) Peña. Betty grew up in Imlay City, MI. She attended Imlay City High School. Betty married James Teal in Sandusky, MI. She has lived in Marlette for 13 years.

She was employed in Quality Control at Hamill Manufacturing, Mold Masters in Lapeer, MI and retired from Toyo Seat in Imlay City, MI.

Betty enjoyed playing Bingo and solving crossword puzzles.

She is survived by: her husband, James Teal: daughters, Theresa Villa of Marlette, MI and Lita Lumm of Mt. Morris, MI; and her sons, Charlie Florez of Lapeer, MI and Paul Simon Florez of Florida. She is also survived by: her brothers, Abel Peña of Imlay City, MI and Robert Peña of Attica, MI; grandchildren, Alisha, Ashley, Nick, Monica, Shasmine, Tony, Tyler, Danny and Brittnay; and several great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by: her parents, Jose and Julia Peña; and her brother, Joseph Peña.

The funeral was held Friday, November 14, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Interment followed at Goodland Township Cemetery.
