Linda Lee Thompson, 79

Linda Lee Thompson, age 79, of Imlay City, Michigan died Thursday, September 25, 2025 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Linda Lee Sharrard was born December 17, 1945 in Almont, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late Maurice Bade and the late Edith Marie (Dowling) Sharrard. Linda grew up and lived all of her life in the Imlay City and Goodland Twp. area. She attended Imlay City High School and married Vyril Gene Thompson on October 5, 1963 at West Goodland United Methodist Church.

Linda found deep satisfaction in creating a meticulous, loving, home environment, raising her three children. Linda was Saved in the Faith at age 45. Linda and Gene began teaching a class called ‘Living Faith’ at their church. They taught the class for many years to many people. She loved spending time with her husband, Gene, her three children, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and taking rides around the countryside with Gene.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gene Thompson of Imlay City, MI, her sons, Andrew (Amy) Thompson of Lapeer, MI, and Mark (Nancy) Thompson of Kent City MI, and her daughter, Jill (Bill) Robin of Lakeport, MI. Also surviving her are thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brothers James Sharrard of Imlay City, MI and Jac (Cecilia) Sharrard of Mission Viejo, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Edith Sharrard and by her sister, Marilyn (Clarence) Facha.

The family will be available for visitation from 2-5 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1st at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City: 225 N. Main Street.

Private funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
