Robert William Donner, 51

Robert William Donner, age 51 of Capac passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 surrounded by his family in Port Huron. He was born November 13, 1973 the son of Douglas Richard and Mary Ruth (Pittman) Donner in Warren. Education was an important part of his life. Bob graduated from Almont High School in 1992 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Baker College and he received his Master’s Degree in Public Health from Concordia University. Bob met the love of his life Cynthia Howe in High School and they were married August 16, 1997 in Imlay City at the Victorian Manor. They honeymooned in Frankenmuth which, became to be one of their favorite places to dine. Bob recently worked as a Quality Control Manager at Aludyne in Port Huron. He was an avid mystery novel reader enjoying reading books by Robin Cook. He and loving wife enjoyed going to the Detroit Institute of Arts, his favorite artist was Vincent Van Gogh. Bob was a history buff especially of the Industrial Revolution. He enjoyed watching the history channel and going to the Henry Ford Museum. He was a proud fur parent to his two cats Precious and Lupa.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Donner of Capac and his brother Doug (Sheri) Donner of Almont; Niece Bobbi and nephew Danny; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Barbara Howe of Capac and brother-in-law Jason Howe of Capac.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 with Viewing from 10:00-11:00 a.m. all at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke-Imlay City, MI 48444. Burial will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery, (31300 Southfield Rd, Beverly Hills, MI 48025.)

Memorial Donations can be made in Robert’s name to the Mystery Haven in Imlay City, Mustang Acre Farm in Capac, and Hawkey Friends of Imlay City.
