Robert Chockley, 77

Robert Chockley, age 77, of Flint, Michigan died Monday, May 19, 2025 at Genesee Gardens Senior Living of Flint, MI. Robert Ray Chockley was born June 29, 1947 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He is the son of the late Burton and the late Margaret (LaBlond) Chockley. Robert grew up in Imlay City, MI. He was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1965. He married Mary Ann Kolton on June 20, 1970 in Lapeer, Michigan. Robert and Mary Ann lived in Attica, MI for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, on May 20, 2020.
He was employed as a Construction Code Enforcer by the Michigan Department of Transportation, ensuring highways were properly constructed.
Robert is survived by: his daughter, Noelle Gagnon of Richmond, MI; son, Jerod (Emily Yates) Chockley of Seneca, South Carolina; and his granddaughter, Brynn Gagnon. He is also survived by: his brother-in-law, Matthew (Sherry) Kolton; sisters-in-law, Kathy Williams and Michelle Chockley; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: wife, Mary Ann Chockley; Parents, Burton and Margaret Chockley; his brothers, Carl Chockley and Donald Chockley; and brothers-in-law, Jimmy Kolton and Kevin Kolton; and son-in-law Jody Gagnon.
Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
