Jacqueline Coral Whitton, 79

Jacqueline Coral Whitton, 79, of Arcadia Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26. She was born April 15, 1946, in Detroit to parents Charles and Marvel Mistretta(Boomer). “Jackie”, a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and accomplished professional, lived life on her terms, creating her path through intelligence, determination, ambition, and artistry.
She attended Rosary Catholic School in Detroit and earned her bachelor’s degree from Oakland University.
Jackie built a successful career in finance, becoming a Certified Public Accountant before transitioning into financial planning. She worked as Deputy Finance Director and later owned Stonybrook Financial, in Oakland Township, where she was a certified financial planner. She adored her clients, who adored her right back.
Outside of work, Jackie thrived in gardening, stitching, weaving and painting, using watercolors to depict horizons and woodlands. She found joy on the water at the family cottage in Oscoda, creating cherished memories with her children.
In 1966, Jackie married David, the love of her life, sharing 60 years filled with dancing, music, travel and adventure. Their love was marked by deep companionship and unwavering support.
Jackie is survived by her husband, David, her children, Rachel (Laurance Jr) Delaurier of Dryden, and David Whitton II, of Mt. Clemens, and two sisters, Charlyss Anderson (Jack) and Deborah Seivers. She was a proud grandmother to Joshua Whitton, Noah Whitton, Ayla Delaurier, and Lucas Delaurier.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and David, her parents, and granddaughter Lorelei Delaurier.
