Dianna Morningstar, 77

Dianna Morningstar, age 77, of Imlay City, Michigan died Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at her home. Dianna Clara Ross was born January 24, 1948 in Cass City, MI. She is the daughter of the late Edgar and the late Marion (Willis) Ross. Dianna grew up in Croswell, MI and graduated from Marlette High School in 1968. She married Ronald Gerald Morningstar on March 26, 1966 in North Branch, Michigan. Dianna and Ronald moved to the Imlay City area in 1968.

She worked as a sales clerk for Ames Department Store in Imlay City, MI and Brandt’s Carrot Farm. Dianna was also a sales representative for Avon cosmetics. She was a Girl Scout Leader, Boy Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader. Dianna was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Imlay City, and Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Dianna is survived by: her husband, Ronald Morningstar; daughter, Rebecca (Scott) Gillet of Imlay City, MI; and her sons, Douglas (Tammy) Morningstar of Imlay City, MI and Steven (Darla) Morningstar of Capac, MI; sisters, Roberta Pringle of Deckerville, MI and Sharol (Sam) Weaver of Brown City, MI; and her brothers, Hugh (Ann) Ross of Elba, MI and Dennis Ross of Kingston, MI. She is also survived by: her grandchildren, Ashtin, Tylor, Mykila, Miranda, Gabriel, Jonah, Noelani, Kaleia, and Jason; and great-grandchildren, Zariana, Harrison, and Kashtin.

Dianna was preceded in death by: her parents, Edgar & Marion Ross; brothers, Richard Ross, David Ross, Bob Ross, and Elmer Ross; and her sister, Susan Rivera.

The funeral services were held Monday, April 28, 2025 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 6835 Weyer Road, Imlay City, MI with Reverend Jeffrey Dufour officiating. Interment followed at Imlay Township Cemetery.
