Rosalie Detkowski, 75

Rosalie Detkowski, age 75, of Millington, MI died Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Fisher Senior Care & Rehab Center of Mayville, MI. Rosalie Kay Brookins was born May 15, 1949 in Detroit, MI. She is the daughter of the late Jack and the late Edna (Brookins) Mason. Rosalie grew up in Texas. She and her family moved around the country due to her father’s service in the military. She married Frank Joseph Detkowski on January 24, 1970 in Utica, Michigan. Rosalie was preceded in death by Frank in 2003.
She was a self-employed horticulturist and owned and operated Summer Gardens Greenhouses located at 36 Mile Road & Van Dyke for 32+ years.
Rosalie was a member of Macomb County Horticultural Society.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff (Nora Jean) Detkowski of Roseville, MI and James (Misha) Detkowski of Imlay City, MI; sister, Tina Perry; and her brothers, Arnold Jackson Mason, Rodney Mason, Robert Mason and Almond Mason. She is also survived by: her grandchildren, Ryan Michael Detkowski, Sarah Elisabeth Budzyn, Candice Detkowski, Trevor Detkowski, Gabrielle Detkowski, Joseph Detkowski, Mary Jane Detkowski and Wesley Detkowski.
Rosalie was preceded in death by: her husband, Frank J. Detkowski; sons, Frank Joseph Detkowski and Joseph Frank Detkowski; her sisters, NaDeana Mason and Elizabeth Mason; and brother, Scott Mason.
The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025 at Imlay City Christian Reformed Church, 395 Cedar St., Imlay City, MI. Reverend Alex Snider will officiate. Interment will follow at West Berlin Cemetery in Allenton, MI.
The family will be available for visitation 2-5 & 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 24th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI and 10-11 am, Friday, April 18th at Imlay City Christian Reformed Church.
