Nancy Villalpando, 69

Nancy Villalpando, age 69, of Chesterfield, Michigan passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in Sterling Heights; in the care of her long time friend and husband of fourteen years, Ruben Villalpando. Nancy Esther Gutierrez was born January 5, 1956 in Lapeer, MI. She is the daughter of the late Henry and the late Lupe (Rendon) Gutierrez. Nancy grew up in Imlay City, MI. She attended Imlay City High School. Nancy attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Imlay City.

She was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator by Ford Motor Company – Chesterfield Trim Plant in Chesterfield, MI for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. She enjoyed sewing, drawing, and doing crafts. Nancy was a Trekkie and she enjoyed Science Fiction movies.

She is survived by: her sons, Gene ‘Geno’ (Amy) Villalpando of Sterling Heights, MI and Reuben ‘Rico’ (Lori) Villalpando of Oakland Township, MI; grandchildren, Emily (Chad) Brown, Daniel Villalpando and Skylar Villalpando; her husband of 14 years and friend Ruben Villalpando; her siblings, Ninfa Flores, Carmen Perez, Dora Shagena, Anita Gonzales, Robert Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Elizabeth Gutierrez, Benjamin Gutierrez and Abel Gutierrez; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Lupe Gutierrez; her brothers and sister: Cpl. Henry Gutierrez, Jr., Jacob Gutierrez, Alvino Gutierrez, and Henrietta Gutierrez.

The funeral services were held Monday, April 14, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Deacon Joe Hulway of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lapeer, MI officiated. Interment followed at Imlay Township Cemetery.
