Clifford “Cliff” Krieger, 71

Clifford “Cliff” Krieger, age 71, of Dryden, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Henry Ford Ascension Rochester Hospital of Rochester Hills, MI. Clifford Paul Krieger was born August 14, 1953 in Detroit, MI. He is the son of the late Kurt and the late Ellen (Miller) Krieger. Cliff grew up in Troy, MI. He was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1971. He married Diane Henry on January 8, 1982 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Cliff and Diane have lived in Dryden, MI for the past 40 years.

He was employed as an Automotive Manufacturing Engineer by multiple companies for the past 35 years, most recently with American Axle Manufacturing in Auburn Hills, MI.

Cliff enjoyed golfing with his family and friends, working on cars and as a young man, raced cars and was known for his devotion and love as the patriarch of his family.

He is survived by: his wife, Diane Krieger; daughter, Emily Krieger of Sebring, Florida ; and his sons, Chris (Amanda) Krieger of Sterling Heights, MI and Jason (Rebecca) Krieger of Royal Oak, MI who all brought joy into his life. He is also survived by: his brother, Robert (Debbie) Krieger of Kentucky; and he proudly held the title of Grandpa to those he called his grandchildren; Jayden, Jason, Olivia, Ryder, Riley, Alexis, Aaliyah and Stafford.

The connection Clifford built with his grandchildren was not always through blood, but through a love that ran deep with a passion to be everyone’s Grandpa.

Clifford’s warmth, wisdom and desire to care for his family will be deeply and forever missed. He will be forever remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering love and acceptance for his family and extended family.

Cliff was preceded in death by: his parents, Kurt & Ellen Krieger.

A Celebration of Cliff’s life is being planned for a later date.
