Laqueti Marzuella Watkins, 83

Laqueti Marzuella Watkins, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 26, 2025. She was born May 25, 1941 the daughter of Tom and Martha (Bridgeman) Potter in Drift, Kentucky. She was very creative and liked making things, whether quilting, painting or woodworking. She has refinished and reupholstered furniture. She was a very good cook and baker and enjoyed canning. She was famous for her special Cinnamon Pickles she often made for the holidays. She had the tradition that holidays were always at her house. She liked shopping for clothes and shoes. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved children Roy Watkins of Brockway, Pamela Watkins of Brockway and David Watkins of Harrison Twp.; loving grandchildren Tyler (Britinie) Beurmann, Christopher (Arial) Beurmann, Josh Beurmann, Justin (Nancy) Beurmann, Alexandria (Nick) Leija, Bryce Watkins, and Conner Watkins; beloved great grandchildren Blakely, Braxtyn, Daytyn, Mary, Tristan, Norah, Oliver, and Esther. Also surviving siblings Gwynda (Gary) Motz, Sam “Bubby” (Wilma) Butcher.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Diane, Janice and Norma.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m.

All services to be held at the Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444.

Burial will follow at Imlay City Twp. Cemetery.
