Debra Marie Edwards, 57

Debra Marie Edwards, age 57 of Lapeer passed away peacefully Thursday, March 6, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1967 the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Spezia) Thomas in Rochester Hills. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1985. She started working for Kroger where she was a cashier for many years. She was a member of Imlay City Friendship Chapter # 252 OES and was also a member of the Rainbow for Girls. Debra was very creative enjoying crafts and crocheting. Most of all Debra loved spending time with her grandkids and family.

Debra is survived by her children: Alfred “AJ” Edwards, Jr. of Lapeer, Kayla (Craig) Domanski of Capac, Richard Edwards of Lapeer, Bryce Edwards of Oxford, also by her grandchildren: Abigail, Adam, Jaxon, Heather and Hunter, also by her siblings: Dianne (Bill) Zeitler of North Branch, Anthony (Melissa) Thomas of Elk Lake, Ontario, Patrick (Linda) Thompson of Mesa, Arizona, Clifford (Dayna) Thompson of Gallatin, Tennessee, cousin Jennifer Hoard of Dryden and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and step-mother.

Memorial Service was held Tuesday, March 11 by the Imlay City Friendship Chapter #252 OES at the funeral home.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. all at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke-Imlay City, MI 48444. Burial will follow at Lakeville Cemetery, 825 Drahner Rd.-Lakeville, MI 48367.
