Judith Ann Stamsen, 83

Judith Ann Stamsen, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday February 7, 2025 in Lawrenceville GA. Judy was born November 27, 1941 in Detroit, MI. She is the daughter of the late Frank Bridenbaugh and the late Edna (Baxter) Kempf. Judy grew up in Imlay City and was a graduate of Imlay City High School, class of 1959.

Judy’s caring nature led to her success as a lab technician in Lapeer for many years. She then went on to work at State Farm Insurance in GA, where she made many friends and eventually retired. Judy was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister and friend to all. She was very active in her community through her involvement in the Lions Club. Judy always found the good, even in difficult times. She passed that trait on to her sons. She had an unshakable faith in God. Her 46 years of marriage to Pete were her happiest. She adored her many dogs throughout her life.

Judy is survived by her husband Pete Stamsen of Lawrenceville, GA; sons Mike (Shira) Bogart of Mill Valley, CA and Marty Bogart of Mt. Vernon, WA; sisters Kay Kempf of Grand Rapids, MI, Marilyn (Jon) Tippman of Bay City, MI and sister-in- law Kay Bridenbaugh of Auburn, MI; brothers Bill (Bernadette) Bridenbaugh of Canton, MI and Jim (Jackie) Kempf of Amherst, NH; grandchildren Bryce Bogart, Ely Bogart, Liam Bogart, Duncan Bogart and Kaci Bogart and her cherished nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by all of her parents, Frank and Lelah Bridenbaugh, Edna and Bob
Kempf and her brother Dick Bridenbaugh.

A memorial will be held on a later date at Gwinnett Hall Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA and will be available virtually.
