Lura “June” Warby, 93

Lura “June” Warby, age 93, of Clinton Township (formerly of Bruce Township), Michigan, died Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Lura June Martin was born June 28, 1931 in Flint, MI. She is the daughter of the late Richard and the late Chloe (Hacket) Martin. June grew up in Flint. She is a graduate of Kersley High School, Class of 1950. She married John Warby, Sr. on June 20, 1953 in Otisville, Michigan. June and John lived in Bruce Township for 33+ years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on October 8, 2015.

She was a Home Maker, raising her family.

June was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janeene Warby of Atlanta, GA and Janet DeLine of Russellville, AL; son, John (Michelle) Warby, Jr. of Clinton Township, MI; and her brother, Frank (Donna) Martin. She is also survived by: her grandchildren, Ryan Warby, Rebecca (Arturo) Altamirano, Luke Shaulis, Kyle (Alexandria) Wyatt, Keri (Jon) Curry and Joseph (Victoria) Kruemmer; and her great-grandchildren, Clara, Alayna and Michael.

June was preceded in death by: her husband, John Warby, Sr.; grandson, Kurt Shaulis; her brother, Richard (Eleanor) Martin and Edward (Bonnie) Martin; and her sisters, Wanda (Elmer) Sample and Patricia (Orville) Burton.

The Funeral Service was held Monday, February 17, 2025 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Road, Otisville, MI. Pastor Alan Duce, pastor of Richfield Church of the Nazarene, officiated. Interment took place Wednesday, February 19th at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
