Andrew Brown, 43

Andrew Brown, 43, of Capac, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 after a nearly 20 year battle against kidney disease.

He was born in 1981 to Tim and Ramute (Misiunas) Brown and spent much of his youth on his grandparents’ farm. He was a longtime member of St. Clair County’s 4-H program and showed beef and dairy cattle.

Andrew was a 2000 graduate of Capac High School. While still in high school, he started his first dairy herd and, over the years, worked for other dairy operations in the area including Lynn Island, Knusts, Stamp-Dale and GTL Vogel. He was a member of the Michigan Milk Producers and Dairy Herd Improvement associations and volunteered his time on the Thumb Dairy Banquet committee. Even after selling his cows, Andrew maintained an interest in the dairy industry, with a special appreciation for the Brown Swiss breed. Presently, he helped his brother on the family’s row crop and beef farm.

Andrew was an organ donor recipient and in death, an organ donor himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Andrew is survived by his aunt, Ruta Misiunas; brother, Tim Brown (Maria); niece, Lauren Brown and nephew, Isaac Brown and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donations can be made in his memory to the St. Clair County 4-H Livestock program.
