Sue Rose, 70

Sue Rose, age 70, of Attica, Michigan died suddenly Thursday, January 16, 2025 at McLaren Flint Region Medical Center. Sue Ann Ramirez was born May 19, 1954 in Almont, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late Vicente’ and the late Rosa Margaret (Elk) Ramirez. Sue grew up in Imlay City, Michigan and a she attended Imlay City High School. She married James Millard Rose on December 31, 1986 in Cypress Gardens, Florida.

She was a Teacher’s Aide for Lapeer County Hispanic Services – Migrant Program. She was a Home Maker. Sue enjoyed playing the piano and singing at church with her sister Rose Govitz. Sue was also a Sunday School teacher at CrossRoads Baptist Church in Imlay City.

Sue is survived by: her husband: Jim Rose of Attica, MI; her brothers: Nacho (Kitty) Ramirez of Imlay City, MI and David (Cookie) Ramirez of Imlay City, MI; her brother-in-law, Dan Govitz of Attica, MI; and by several nieces and nephews. Sue was recently preceded in death by: her parents, Vicente’ and Rosa Ramirez; brother, Vicente’ Ramirez, Jr.; and her sister, Rose Govitz.

The funeral services were held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 6835 Weyer Road, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Jeff DuFour, pastor of the CrossRoads Baptist Church officiated.

Due to the extreme cold, a graveside service will be held at Imlay Township Cemetery, 682 N. Fairgrounds Rd., Imlay City, MI at a later date when the temperatures have risen to near normal.
