Kenneth Lee Schulte, 78

Kenneth Lee Schulte, 78, a long-time resident of Almont, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2025 in Lapeer with family nearby. Ken was born in Cleveland, OH, on April 24th, 1946, to Jack Schulte and Frances Bullington.

He graduated from Almont High School in 1965. Ken served his country during Vietnam as a member of the United States Army as a tank operator in Germany, from 1967 until 1969, when he was honorably discharged.

Beginning in the 70’s, he worked at Hamill Manufacturing. Then in 1998, he joined L&L Products in Romeo, where he worked in manufacturing and shipping until he retired in 2016. Most who knew and loved Ken were friends with him for decades.

Ken was always an avid sports player. Throughout his school years, he was a star basketball player, and was also a quarterback with a mighty throw. He kept the other guys in-check! He always had fun bowling, and in his retired years played pickleball and tennis. Ken enjoyed doing crosswords, playing Keno, and watching late-night comedy. He liked going to the Huddle, playing favorite tunes on the jukebox, and having a beer. Ken is remembered as a jokester whose hearty laugh will be dearly missed.

Ken is survived by his brother Fred (Bonny); former in-laws; nieces and nephews; and his BFF Amy.

Ken was predeceased by his mother, Frances; father, Jack; and brother, John Schulte.

There will be a Celebration of Life on April 24th, 2025. Arrangement details to follow on this website in early April.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Almont.
