Ronald James Bilotta, age 75

Ronald James Bilotta, age 75 of Almont passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 surrounded by his family at home. He was born August 12, 1949 the son of Louis and JoAnn (Freeman) Bilotta in Fairmont, West Virginia. After graduating from Roseville High School Ronald attended and graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology. He was excited to have been on the Dean’s List while at College. He proudly served in the US Army.
Ronald married the love of his life Linda Almonrode, December 18, 1976 in Detroit. His mom JoAnn worked at Hudsons with Linda at Eastland and matched them up. They had their first date on Good Friday and were married near Christmas. They lived in West Virginia for about a year before they moved to Michigan to start their family. He began working as an Engineer at the US Army Tank Automotive & Armaments Command in Warren.

Ronald was very active in many community organizations including: the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall, Meals on Wheels, the Hispanic Service Center, Adopt-A-Family and the Lapeer County Family Independence Agency. He had many hobbies like: model trains, Ford Broncos and metal scrapping. Ronald was a Master Tinkerer and even built his own home. Together Ronald and Linda traveled, especially around the East Coast. Most of all Ronald loved being at home with his family including sharing his love for model trains with his grandsons.

Ronald is survived by his wife Linda Bilotta of Almont, by his two daughters: Gena (John) Grzyb of Imlay City and Cheryl Bilotta of Almont, by his two grandsons: Colton Grzyb and Mason Grzyb of Imlay City, his siblings: Perry (Josie) Bilotta of Shelby Twp., Mary “Cathy” Catherine (John) Bedigian of Fraser and Joni Klein of Clinton Twp.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents.
