Janice Hillman, age 86

Janice Hillman, age 86, of Almont, Michigan passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility (known as Suncrest). Janice Delores Andress was born November 7, 1938 in Metamora, MI. She is the daughter of the late Heber and the late Kathleen (Albertson) Andress. Janice grew up in the Metamora and Dryden area; she was a graduate of Dryden High School, Class of 1957. She married Charles Hillman on January 9, 1959 in Capac, Michigan.

Janice was a homemaker. She worked for a short time at Hamill Seatbelt Manufacturing Co. in Imlay City. She enjoyed spending time with her family; traveling to Florida (as a ‘Snowbird’); cooking and crafting.

She is survived by: her husband, Chuck Hillman; daughter: Cindy (Tom Czerniak) Weingartz of South Branch, MI; and her son, Jeff Hillman of Imlay City, MI. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Nicole Lea (Tim Brunk) Weingartz, John Michael (Deni) Weingartz, and Jaime Noble; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by: her parents, Lee and Kathleen Andress; and her brother, Ronald Andress.

The funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Matt Jewel, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Capac, will officiate. The family will be available for visitation 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
