Joyce Dennis, 95

Joyce Dennis, age 95, of Imlay City, Michigan, died Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Serene Gardens Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI. Joyce Hilda Frantz was born January 30, 1929 in Imlay City, MI. She is the daughter of the late Jesse and the late Etta (Hill) Frantz. Joyce grew up and lived her entire life in the Imlay City, MI area. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1946.

She was employed at Oakdale Regional Center in Lapeer, MI for 27 years in various positions: she worked in dietary, she was the Housekeeping Supervisor, Postal Supervisor, and retired as the Switchboard Supervisor in 1988.

Joyce traveled to many foreign countries. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. Joyce volunteered for the Red Cross for many years and for the “Host” school program. She worked many years as an election official for the school and city elections.

She is survived by: her sons, Donald (Patricia) Dennis and Ronald Dennis and Michael Dennis; grandchildren, Laurey Bryant, Gregory (Tricia) Dennis and Michelle (Dave) White; her great-grandchildren, Sydney, Wren, Trace and Skylar; and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by: her parents, Jesse and Etta Frantz; brothers Carl (Virginia) Frantz and James (Onillee) Frantz; her sisters, Jessie Williams and Hazel Smith; and her daughters-in-law, Sandy Dennis and Sue Dennis.

The Funeral Service was held Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor John Chippewa, pastor of North Goodland Baptist Church, officiated. Interment followed at Imlay Township Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
