Martin McDermott, 64

Martin McDermott, age 64, of Allenton, Michigan died Wednesday, November 13, 2024 due to an automobile accident in Imlay City, MI. Martin Francis McDermott was born May 2, 1960 in Detroit, MI. He is the son of the late Vincent Sr. and the late Marcella (Bader) McDermott. Martin grew up in the Imlay City area and was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1979. After high school, Martin went on to serve in the United States Army in 1979. He married Tammie D’ Andrea on August 18, 1984 in Allenton, Michigan. Martin and Tammie have lived in Allenton since 1996.

He worked as a Die Maker for Superior Cam Inc. in Madison Heights, MI. Martin had just retired in 2023. He was also a retired fire- fighter for the Berlin Twp. Fire Department. Martin loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors either gardening or hunting.

Martin is survived by: his wife, Tammie McDermott of Allenton, MI; daughter, Quin (Mike) Hauxwell of Capac, MI; and his son, Logan (Katherine) McDermott of Capac, MI. He is also survived by: his sisters, Catherine McDermott and Linda McDermott; brothers, Michael McDermott and Joseph McDermott; and his grandchildren, Addison, Logan Jr., Aubree, Ava, Alexzander, Lailah, Remington, Harper, and Sawyer.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Vincent Sr. & Marcella McDermott; and his brother, Vincent McDermott Jr.
