Nancy Rathka, 64

Nancy Rathka, age 64, of Big Rapids, Michigan died Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Nancy Ann Collins was born February 3, 1960 in Flint, MI. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Arline (Wynn) Collins. Nancy grew up in Imlay City and attended Imlay City High School. She married Robert Rathka on February 11, 1978 in Imlay City, Michigan. Nancy and Robert lived in Imlay City after they got married, then moved to North Branch in 1991, and then moved to Sand Lake, MI before moving to Big Rapids 7 years ago.

She was a Home Maker, raising her family. Nancy’s family owned and operated the Collin’s Roller Rink in Imlay City for 30 years.

Nancy is survived by: her husband, Robert Rathka; sons, Ronald Rathka of Mecosta County, MI and Robert (Ashley) Rathka, Jr. of Big Rapids, MI; her grandchildren, Eli and Zeva; brother-in-law, Ray (Linda) Rathka; and her sisters-in-law, Marlene Drake, Linda (Mark Potter) Kaake and Mary Lou Collins.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James “Barney” and Arline Collins; brothers, James “Jim” Collins and Donald Collins; and her sister, Peggy Zibiluik.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
