Ronald Louis Campbell, 89

Born on March 10, 1935, in Almont, Michigan, Ron was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering love for his family, his selfless nature, and his deep faith.

Ron’s life journey began in the small town of Almont, where he was born to parents Louis and Ester (Theut) Campbell. He was a cherished brother to Harvey, Kenneth, Dale, and Louis Campbell, and the late Carol Ann Lauwers.

In 1957, Ron married the love of his life, Patricia (Kalisz) Campbell, in a heartfelt ceremony in Imlay City, Michigan. Their union was blessed with a beautiful family, including their children Jody (Dan) Carlin of Almont, Ronald (Jill) Campbell of Port Huron, Timothy Campbell of Imlay City, Dawn (Peter) Wedemeyer of Almont, and the late Judy (Jerry) Collins. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather and later as a great-grandfather to 13 great-grandchildren.

Professionally, Ron was a hardworking and respected figure in the community. He retired in 2012 from L. Campbell & Sons Produce, a testament to his dedication and work ethic. Even in retirement, he continued to contribute, driving to Eastern Market for his son and staying active in the industry he loved.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ester Campbell, his daughter Judy Collins, and his sister Carol Ann Lauwers. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his loving wife Patricia; his children and their spouses; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brothers and their families.
