Costello “Babo” Villalpando, 72

Costello “Babo” Villalpando, age 72, of Imlay City, MI, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital of Lapeer, MI. Costello Victor Villalpando was born March 23, 1952, in Almont, MI. He is the son of the late Costello and the late Minnie Villalpando. Babo grew up and lived in the Imlay City. He is a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1970.
He was employed as a truck driver by Campbell Farms. For a period of time, Babo was employed by O’Reilly Auto Parts. Babo enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Jesse (Dan) Wedlake of Brown City, MI and Jennifer Werth of Imlay City, MI; sisters, Rebecca Reyes of UT and Pam Slingerland of Imlay City, MI; and his brothers, Frank Villalpando of Imlay City, MI and Steven Villalpando of Imlay City, MI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elisha Wedlake, Gabriel Wedlake, Paige Martinez and Payton Werth; six great-grandchildren; and long time companion Lori Warner of Imlay City and her two sons Jason Warner and Cody Warner.
Babo was preceded in death by his parents, Costello and Minnie Villalpando.
A memorial is being planned for a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
