Dennis “Chis” Chisholm, 68

Dennis “Chis” Chisholm, 68, passed away June 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Dennis is a graduate of Capac High School, Class of 1974. He later attended St. Clair County Community College for Building Trades.

He was employed as a Machinist by Ford Motor Company at the Romeo Engine Plant and recently retired. He was a soft spoken, hard worker, who loved his family and friends and was a devoted Detroit Lions fan. A master woodworker whose greatest joy was building beautiful wooden toys for children.

Dennis is survived by his wife Tammy; son Cody; and his goddaughter Jayme. He is also survived by his siblings, Douglas and Lucy of Rockford; Sheryl and Hayward of Dryden; Sandy and Clarence of Chesapeake; Kris and Wess of Kimball; Shannon and Mark of FL and Guy and Theresa of Yale; in laws, Anna and Dwight of VA, Hayward of VA; Sheila and Joe of Dryden; Fred and Jeanette of Washington; Sarah of VA; Charly of NC; Bonnie and John of TN; Connie and John of VA; Teresa of Oxford and Pete and Mary of Almont; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Beverly and his father Colin.

In lieu of flowers, and more importantly, we request your presence at his Celebration of Life–to be announced at a later date–to share a happy memory.

Arrangements for Dennis’s cremation were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
