John Joseph Fisher, 69

John Joseph Fisher, age 69, of Lapeer, Michigan, died Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Churchill Farms Adult Foster Care of Lapeer, MI. John Fisher was born July 7, 1956 in Detroit, MI. He is the son of the late John and Belva (Horitski) Fisher. John grew up in Attica, MI. He was a graduate of Lapeer High School, Class of 1974. John proudly served in the United States Navy 1976 to 1987. He lived in Colorado and Texas for periods of time.

He was employed as a Machine Operator by Romeo Rim in Washington Township, MI for 7 years.

John is survived by: his daughter, Michelle Fisher in Big Rapids, MI; mother, Belva Fisher of Attica, MI; his sisters, Rita (Guy) Stoneburgh of Attica, MI and Karen (Donald) Stoneburgh of Lapeer, MI; and brothers: Philip Fisher and Daniel Fisher of Lapeer, MI. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jaden and Maverick.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Kathy Fisher; and father, John Fisher.

The Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Fr. Charles Altermatt, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Loretto Cemetery in Lapeer, MI.

The family will be available for visitation 2-5 p.m., Wednesday, January 28 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI and 10-10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Veteran’s Salute will take place at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
