Almont claims 12U championship

ALMONT — The Almont 12U baseball squad claimed a  first-place finish at the Imlay City Spartan Classic this past weekend.

Almont began their title-producing path Saturday with a 17-0 triumph against Elba.

Later that day, Almont posted a 9-7 win over Armada.

Sunday’s action saw Almont start things off with a 10-0 victory against Imlay City.

They then faced Cass City for tournament honors.

When the final out was registered, Almont had obtained an 8-2 triumph.

Connor Bradley, Julian Luciano, Braxton Felek, Lucas Schwarzwalder, Lucas Lindamood, Connor Zangara, Bentley Garneer, Josh Bernardi, Christian Luciano, Easton Cobb and Blake McSpadin comprised Almont’s championship roster.  They were coached by Dino Bernardi along with assistant coaches Nick Cobb, Miguel Luciano and Mikey Luciano.
