Nancy Stroman, 87

Nancy Stroman, age 87, of Goodland Township, Michigan died Thursday, December 18, 2025 in Imlay City, MI. Nancy Lee Owens was born April 17, 1938 in Mariba, KY. She is the daughter of the late Doyle and the late Flora (Cox) Owens. Nancy grew up in Essexville, MI and Capac, MI. She was a graduate of Capac High School, Class of 1956. Nancy lived most of her life in the Imlay City, MI area. She married Austin Stroman on June 1, 1962 Imlay City, Michigan. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Austin, on May 19, 2017.

In the early 1960’s Nancy worked at Bush’s Hi-Speed Restaurant as a waitress and cook. Later on she was the office manager for Owens & Stroman Excavating, as well as Michigan Aquatic Control and Cedar Hill Farms. She loved her family and spending time with them. Nancy also enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.

Nancy is survived by: her daughter, Terri Kohler of Imlay City, MI; son Chuck (Jill) Stroman of Lansing, MI; her sister, Virginia (Felix) Fournier of Calumet, MI; and brother, Ralph Eugene (Dianne) Owens of Attica, MI. She is also survived by: her grandchildren, Kiley (Felix) Jarquin-Stroman of Perth, Australia, Andy (Amanda) Stroman of Imlay City, MI, Patrice Stroman-Haynes of Imlay City, MI, and McKay Stroman-Haynes of Imlay City, MI; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Claire.

Nancy was preceded in death by: her husband, Austin; son, Patrick (LeAnn) Stroman; her son-in-law, Larry Kohler; grandson, A.J. Stroman; her brother, Patrick Owens; and first husband, Charles Allan Swailes.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI 48444.
