David Balabon, 81

David Balabon, age 81, of Fostoria, Michigan, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center of Mayville, MI. David Ray Balabon was born May 17, 1944 in Waterloo, Iowa. He is the son of the late Stevenson Sr. and the late Bernice (Bentley) Balabon. David attended Blacks Corners Country School and Fulson School. He lived with his mom in Florida for several years before moving to Fostoria in 1985.

He was employed as a General Laborer by Vlasic Foods.

David was a member of Fostoria Baptist Church. In the early 1960’s he was in the Peace Corp.

He is survived by; his brother, Steve (Marilyn) Balabon, Jr. of Fostoria, MI; nephew, Brett Allan (Lynn) Balabon of Brown City, MI; his niece, Julie Ann (Frank) Auxier of Mayville, MI; and his great nieces and nephews, David, Erin, Amanda, Merrisa and Benjamin.

The funeral service was held Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Steven Henry, pastor of Fostoria Baptist Church officiated. Interment took place Monday, July 7 in Imlay Township Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
