Jerry Nagy, age 83, of Imlay City, Michigan died Friday, June 19, 2026 at his home in Imlay City. Jerry Lee Nagy was born March 7, 1943 in Almont, MI. He is the son of the late William and the late Lucille (Winslow) Nagy. Jerry lived his entire life in the Imlay City, MI area. He was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1961. He married Barbara Mott on September 26, 1964 in Imlay City, Michigan.
He was employed as a Telephone Switchman by General Telephone & Electric in Capac and Imlay City, MI for 30+ years before retiring in 1998.
Jerry loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed taking photographs and playing softball. When his children were younger, Jerry coached Little League Baseball.
He was a founding charter member and a worthy past president of the Imlay City Eagles.
Jerry is survived by: his wife, Barbara Nagy of Imlay City, MI; daughters, Kelly (Rob) Cramer of Imlay City, MI and Kimberly (Mike) Keesler of Imlay City, MI; his son, Kurt (Stephanie) Nagy of Imlay City, MI; grandchildren, Michael Nagy, Matthew Nagy, Audie Keesler, William Keesler, Sam Makedonsky, Zack Makedonsky and Ashley Northrop; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, William and Lucille Nagy; and brothers, Bill (Patricia) Nagy and Tom (Brenda) Nagy.
A Celebration of Jerry’s life is being held 1-4 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026.
