Donald Hill, 82

Donald Hill, age 82, of Mayfield Twp., Michigan died Saturday, March 14, 2026 at McLaren Lapeer Regional Hospital. Donald Claud Hill was born November 22, 1943 in Imlay City, MI. He is the son of the late Donald Floyd and the late Isabell Jenny (Secord) Hill. Don grew up in the Imlay City area and was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1961.
Don married Linda Diane Strzynski on August 14, 1965 in Imlay City, Michigan. He served in the Michigan Army National Guard (1964 – 1970). He was self-employed owning and operating Riverside Collision, an auto body repair shop in Lapeer for 32 years. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and being out in nature. He enjoyed racing in almost all forms. In his younger days, he used to drive a car at Owendale Speedway and participated in many demolition derbies. He enjoyed cheering on his Detroit Lions and Tigers, but he was the biggest fan of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren watching as they participated in their sporting activities. Don also had a love of music and played guitar and sang at family gatherings. Don passed on these loves to his kids, grandkids and great grandkids fostering all their interests. Don was a true family man.
Don is survived by his wife, Linda Diane Hill of Lapeer; his son Lonny and Kristin Hill of Imlay City, MI; his daughter Tammy and Megan Hill of Saline, MI, and his son Darin and Courtney Hill of Lapeer, MI. Don is also survived by six grandchildren: Chaz and Skye Hill, Chander and Justin Crump, Trae Hill, Tavin Hill, Jadin Hill, and Jenna Hill. Don is also survived by three great grandchildren: Granger, Jace and Jett Hill. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Isabell Hill; his sisters, Joan and Golden Blount and Sharon and Milo Brown.
A Memorial Service is planned for 1:30 pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Heritage Church, 543 N. Cedar Street, Imlay City, MI. The family will be available for visitation from 11 am until 1:30 pm.
