Albert Andrew Geoit, 75

Albert Andrew Geoit, 75, of Emmett, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 17, 1950, in Deford, MI, the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Wisenbaugh) Geoit.

His marriage to Susan (Krause) Sherwin was February 22, 1986, in Imlay City.

Albert served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972 during the Vietnam War and continued his service in the Army Reserves from 1972 to 1976.

Albert worked for General Motors for 35 years until his retirement in 2005. He was a proud member of the United Autoworkers Union. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed trapping, fishing, and being a backyard mechanic at home on his toys. Albert had a huge heart for everyone, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife Susan of 40 years, are his three daughters, Dawn (Jon) Garrison, Jennifer Sherwin, and Brandi Geoit; his two sons, Albert (Elizabeth) Geoit and Andrew Geoit; grandchildren, Jessica McCoon, Matthew (Amanda) Short, David (McKenna) Short, Amanda (Jacob) Schutte, Ashley Soye, Mason Soye, Chelsea Roach, Zoey Geoit, Albert Joseph Geoit, Ashton Geoit, Braelyn Geoit, and Colton Geoit; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Hailey, Myles, Elianna, Landyn, Kennedy, Emory, Nolan, and Caroline; brothers, Bill (Debbie) Geoit and Lewis (Sandy) Geoit; sisters, Nancy, Hazel, Marti, Donna, Iva, Karen, Eydie, and Sarah, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Fay, Linda, and Douglas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Lisa Clark, pastor of Capac United Methodist Church, will officiate. A luncheon will follow at the Emmett VFW Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family”.
