Michael “Mike” H. Clauw, 84

Michael “Mike” H. Clauw, age 84, of Berlin, MI passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at The Willows Senior Living facility in Leonard, MI. Mike was born January 10, 1942 in Highland Park, MI. He was the son of the late August “Gus” and Thelma “Polly” (Meitzner) Clauw and was a 1959 graduate of Utica High School. He married Kathleen Necker on January 10, 1970. They lived in Utica before moving to the Capac area in 1979.
Mike was an experienced electrician. He apprenticed for Dick Reynolds and was later employed by John Van Sickle followed by Metro Electric.
Mike was a member of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dryden, MI where he previously served as Council Vice President. He was also a life member of North Macomb Sportsman Club in Washington, MI. He previously served as Club President and was most recently involved with sharing his knowledge through their Youth Leagues. Mike loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but mostly he loved the beauty of nature.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Kathleen; daughter Sarah (Christopher) Fraley and grandsons Joshua and Adam of Greenville, WI; sister Pamela Aulgur of Shelby Twp., MI; nephew Sean (Kimberley) Clauw and great nieces Abbey and Ella of Clarkston, MI.
Deceased are his brother, Peter Clauw; brother-in-law Charlie Aulgur, Jr.; in-laws Fred and Jennie Necker.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 14 at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dryden, MI from 9 to 11 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Veen officiating. A luncheon will be provided after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Redeemer Altar Guild.
