Timothy Michael Hill, 71

Timothy Michael Hill, age 71, of Imlay City, Michigan passed peacefully in his home Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Tim was born March 30, 1954 in Almont, MI. He is the son of the late Harold and Katherine (Smith) Hill. Tim lived most of his life in the Imlay City area and was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1972. He was very proud of his Finnish Ancestry and Heritage and the Sisu he inherited. He married Sherry Jurn on July 20, 1974 at the West Goodland Church in Imlay City, celebrating 51 years. Tim was a carpenter, inventor, and teacher of life. He built his and Sherry’s home and assisted with other family building projects, including the famous turtle footstools. Although Tim traveled throughout the United States with his parents as a kid, the love of the Upper Peninsula, Lake Superior, and Ontonagon, (the area where his father’s family settled ) was greater than anywhere else he visited. He was very well versed on many subjects and could answer and explain answers so to be easily understood. He made us laugh with a sense of humor like no other.
Tim is survived by: his wife: Sherry Hill of Imlay City; his sons: Benjamin and Jennifer Hill of Imlay City and Nathan and Michelle Hill of Caseville MI; grandchildren: Aaron and Amber Hill ; his sister, Vickie and Patrick Bohinski of Saginaw, MI; his brother, Terry Hill of Imlay City, MI; Brother-in-laws Dale and Peg Jurn of Beaverton MI, Mark and Janie Jurn of Norwalk, OH; and nieces and nephews.
A ‘Special Thank You’ to: Dawn Clark of Caring Hearts and the McLaren Hospice Nurses and Team for all of their help.
Psalms 118:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. What: Praise, Who: God, Why: From Whom All Blessings flow.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan. Cremation has taken place and Tim’s cremated remains will be interred at Imlay Township Cemetery next to his parents at a later date.
