Elesandra “Sandra” Choike, 85

Elesandra “Sandra” Choike, age 85, of Imlay City died Friday, December 26, 2025 at Serene Gardens Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI. Elesandra Cecilia Bacca was born February 19, 1940 in Detroit, MI. She is the daughter of the late Angelo and the late Constance (Kotlark) Bacca. Sandra grew up in Detroit, MI. She is a graduate of Denby High School in Detroit, MI, Class of 1957. Sandra lived in Troy, MI for a period of time and in East Tawas, MI for 35 years. She went back to college when she was 40 years old and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oakland University.

She was employed as a Financial Manager by TACOM (United States Army Tank – Automotive & Armaments Command) in Warren, MI for 17 years.

Sandra was a member of the Huron Gad-Abouts, Huron Red Hat Society, and the Oscoda Garden Club.

She enjoyed flower gardening, thrifting (garage sales), and especially, spoiling her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by: her daughter, Arlene (Murray) Hollingshead of Davison, MI; sons, Joseph Choike of Sterling Heights, MI and Edward (Amy) Choike of Marlette, MI; and her sister, Diane Morrison of Bellaire, MI. She is also survived by: her grandchildren, Joe Choike, Jr., Mike Choike, Eric Choike, A.J. Choike, Andrew Choike, and Katie Vincent; and her great – grandchildren, Paris, Liam, Silas and Fox.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Angelo and Constance Bacca; brothers, John Bacca, Joseph Bacca and Daniel Bacca; and her sister, Constance Keehn.

The Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Fr. Charles Altermatt, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will take place 11 a.m., Monday, January 5th in the chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 18208 Clinton River Rd., Clinton Twp., MI.

The family will be available for visitation 2-5 & 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 2nd, 2026 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI and 11:30 a.m. – 12 Noon, Saturday, January 3rd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI.
