Mark Wesch, Sr., 72

Mark Wesch, Sr., lovingly called “Grandpa up North”, age 72, of North Branch, Michigan, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at The Orchards of Lapeer, MI. Mark Steven Wesch, Sr. was born December 29, 1952 in Detroit, MI. He is the son of the late Charles and the late Ruth (Lang) Wesch. Mark grew up and attended school in Algonac, MI. He lived in Atlanta, MI for 22 years before moving to the North Branch, MI area.

He was employed as an Associate for Home Depot in Gaylord, MI before retiring. Mark was a Carpet Layer for 20+ years.

Mark enjoyed hunting, wood working, and caring for his lawn. He was a woodsman.

He is survived by: his son, Mark (Adrienne) Wesch, Jr. of North Branch, MI; sisters, Brenda Wesch of Port Huron, MI and Laura Wesch of Marine City, MI; his brothers, Charles (Barbara) Wesch of Algonac, MI, Joseph (Sandi) Wesch of St. Clair, MI, Kent (Roxanne) Wesch of Algonac, MI and Matt Wesch of Algonac, MI; grandchildren, Alexis (Donovan) Bender of Saginaw, MI, Shyla Wesch of Capac, MI, Spencer Wesch of North Branch, MI and Elizabeth Strothers of Saginaw, MI; and several step-grandchildren.

Mark was preceded in death by: his long-time companion, Eva Kaczor; brother, Jack Wesch; and his sister, Susan Wesch.

The Funeral Service was held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Fr. Charles Altermatt, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiated.
