Darinka Kotur, 90

Darinka Kotur, age 90, of Imlay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital.
Darinka was born on July 4, 1935, in Zivaja, Yugoslavia. She was the daughter of the late Bozo and Ljubica Mikulic. Darinka spent her early years in Yugoslavia, where she married Miroslav Kotur in 1955. Together, they immigrated to Imlay City, Michigan, in 1969 to build a new life for their family.
Darinka dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She was a faithful member of St. Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Church in Detroit, Michigan. She found joy in gardening, canning, baking, cooking, entertaining, crocheting and always cherishing time spent with family and friends.
Darinka is survived by her loving husband, Miroslav Kotur of Imlay City; her sons, Ljuban (Julie Acre) Kotur of Attica, Michigan and Branislav (Tatjana Kotur) of Westfield, Indiana, her grandchildren, Brianne (Dale) Lawson of North Branch, Michigan, Nikola and Danijela Kotur of Westfield, Indiana; and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bozo and Ljubica Mikulic; her two sisters, two brothers, and granddaughter Gordana Betker.
The family of Darinka Kotur invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring her life.
The funeral service was held 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan. Interment followed at Imlay Township Cemetery.
