Harry Penzien, Jr., 97

Harry Penzien, Jr., age 97, of Attica, Michigan died Monday, September 15, 2025 at United Hospice Residence of Marlette, MI. Harry John Penzien, Jr. was born July 25, 1928 in Attica, MI. He is the son of the late Harry Sr. and the late Alta Mae (Hoisington) Penzien. Harry lived his entire life in Attica, MI. He is a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1946. He married June Wills on August 24, 1954 in Capac, Michigan.
He was a self-employed Crop Farmer. The family farm will be 150 years old next year.
Harry enjoyed: watching the Lawrence Welk show, watching game shows, listening to the Detroit Tiger baseball games on the radio and playing practical jokes with his prosthetic leg.
He is survived by: his son, Duane (Shirley) Penzien of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; daughter-in-law, Sharon Penzien of Attica, MI; his grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Penzien of Novi, MI, Charles (Renee) Penzien, Michael (Kristen) Penzien, Joseph (Wendy) Penzien, Kaitlyn (Josh) Caulder, Jakob Penzien and James Penzien; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by: his wife, June Penzien; infant son, Douglas Penzien; his son, David James; daughter, Jane Katherine Penzien; his parents, Harry and Alta Mae Penzien; and his sisters, Mary Alice (Dick) Irish and Joann (Don) Phillips; and his leg.
The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2025 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 109 E. Kempf Ct., Capac, MI with Pastor Matt Jewel officiating. Interment will follow at Imlay Township Cemetery.
The family will be available for visitation 2-8 p.m., Thursday, September 18th Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI and 10-11 a.m., Friday, September 19th at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Capac.
