Carol Ann Scott, 82

Carol Ann Scott, age 82, of Imlay City, Michigan, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at United Hospice Residence of Marlette, MI. Carol Ann Ayotte was born May 25, 1943 in Cheboygan, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late Raymond and the late Marjorie (Neuman) Ayotte. She grew up in Cheboygan, Hazel Park and Rochester, MI. Carol attended Rochester High School. She married James Stanley Scott on July 1, 1961 in Rochester, Michigan. He passed away on November 23, 1987.

Carol and James moved their family to the Imlay City area in 1972. She was a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Ottawa / Chippewa Tribe. Carol and Jim were charter members of the Imlay City Eagles.

She was busy raising her family, baby sitting, and providing home child care for all of her family and most of the neighborhood. At a later age she worked for a couple of years at the Almont McDonald’s Restaurant.

Carol is survived by: her daughters, Shelly (Richard) Kraw of Lapeer, MI, Sherry (Brian) Skalski of Lapeer, MI and Shawna Scott of Franklin, IN; sons, Timothy Scott of Imlay City, MI, Todd (Kelly) Scott of Imlay City, MI and James Scott of Owendale, MI; thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Kenny Ayotte, Christopher “Mike” Ayotte, Tina Preister, Pamela Reese, Elsie Abke, Beverly Hawkyard, Susan Marcola, and Iris Wirag.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Raymond and Marjorie Ayotte; husband, James Scott; her son, Christopher Robert Scott; brother, Kurt; and her sisters, Judy, Karen, Kim, and Sharon.

The funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on September 17, 2025 at Christian Memorial Cemetery West, 521 E. Hamlin Rd., Rochester Hills, MI where she will be buried beside her husband, Jim.

The family will be available for visitation 10:00 -11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 17th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
