Ronald Racine Sr., 85

Ronald Racine Sr., age 85, of Imlay City died Monday, July 21, 2025 at Marwood Manor Assisted Living Facility of Port Huron, MI with family by his side. Ronald LeRoy Racine Sr. was born January 18, 1940 in Marquette, MI. He is the son of the late Joseph Henry and the late Dagmer Lena (Carrier) Racine. He grew up near Marquette, Michigan. Ron attended Skandia Community Schools in the Upper Peninsula. He moved to the Imlay City area in the early 1960’s. He married Lucia Rodriguez on July 3, 1963 in Imlay City, Michigan.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War (1963 – 1965). Ron has worked as a Long Haul Truck Driver for Long Transportation and CAST Unlimited Trucking of Taylor and worked in residential gas line construction and installation until he retired in 2006.

Ron is survived by: his beloved wife of 62 years, Lucia (Rodriguez) Racine; daughters, Rosie Racine of Imlay City, MI and Tina (Robert) Thomas of Imlay City, MI; his sons, Thomas Racine of Imlay City, MI and Ronald Jr. (Rhonda) Racine of Dryden, MI; and brother, Albert ‘Bud’ (Rose) Racine of Imlay City, MI. He is also survived by: his grandchildren, Michael Ostrowski of Eastpoint, MI, Cassandra (Alejandro) Siliezar of Texas, and Joshua (Adrianna) Racine of Rochester, MI; and great-grandchildren, Nora and Matthew.

Ron was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph and Dagmer Racine; brother, Fred Racine; and his sisters, Sherry Gordon, Clarissa Ritzler, and Theresa DeLong.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, MI.
