Margaret “Marge” Jager, 95

Margaret ‘Marge’ Jager, age 95, of Imlay City, Michigan died Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Serene Gardens Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI. Margaret Groenewoud was born June 29, 1930 in Hudsonville, MI. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Johanna (Van Langevelde) Groenewoud.

Marge grew up in the Imlay City area. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School Class of 1948. She married Alvin “Al” Jager on September 7, 1951 in Imlay City, Michigan. Her beloved Al passed away on December 18, 2018.

Marge was a homemaker, raising and spending time with her family. She worked on her family’s farm when she was a youth. Marge enjoyed calligraphy, baking, quilting, collecting Flow Blue china, and all sorts of crafting.

She was a member of the Imlay City Christian Reformed Church, Imlay City Historical Society, and of the Flow Blue Society.

Marge is survived by: her son, Robert (Kelly) Jager of Imlay City, MI; her daughter-in-law, Connie Jager of Imlay City, MI; her grandchildren; Jonathon (Jamie) Jager and Dalton (Alexa) Jager; great-grandchildren: Dean, Grayson, Lincoln, Iris; sister-in-law, Joyce Grownewoud; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marge was preceded in death by: her husband, Al Jager; son, Larry Alan Jager; brothers: Gerritt (Betty) Groenewoud, Neil (Elizabeth) Groenewoud, and Quirenus Groenewoud.

The funeral arrangements, that are pending; have been entrusted to the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City.
